Here comes the Booom!! #SparkMe
"Boom! Leadership, how to Unleash a Creative Environment" was the highlight of my Spark.me experience, a two days event that brings to the stage big names from companies like Edelman Digital, Microsoft, Microsoft Ventures, WordPress, UNICEF’s Innovation Unit, Skype, TechCrunch, DropBox, about.me and many other.
I believe the growing success throughout the years of this conference is mainly attributable to the young and motivated team of organizers that are driven by the passion for StartUps, Technology, Entrepreneurship and, most of all, the love for Montenegro and the Balkans. The conference is one of the biggest tech/business events in Southeast Europe. The conference has been organized annually since 2013, in Budva, Montenegro.
The 4th edition had a brilliant lineup with Brian Solis and Sara Rosso as Opening Keynotes for the two days, as well as several other keynotes, Fireside chats, Panels, Workshops and a Startup Competition.
Beside my favourite, Scott Morrison, I really enjoyed the keynotes of Paul Papadimitriou "Always Be Jumping", Marvin Liao "The Future of Work", Frank Gruber "Lessons from Startup Mixology", Danica Kombol "Marketing Under the Influence" and of course, Brian Solis with "The Future of Brand is Experience.
The only parts that were a bit slow and not that interesting were the Fireside chats and the Startup Competition.
On a bright side the conference closed with a Bang! Veronica Belmont with "The Not-So-Glamourous Life of a New Media Personality" was extremely interesting and Vladimir Vulic, Program Director at Spark.me, was the best person to create a fast-paced Fireside chat, stimulating and enjoyable.
I had the pleasure to participate thanks to my dear friend Itana, Social Media Ninja of the Spark.me team, a group of people that works all year long in order to surprise the attendants and top the previous years edition.
Beside the conference side of the event, I loved the networking and breaks where I had the chance to meet plenty of like-minded people, smart individuals and enjoy myself. Something that really impressed me about Spark.me was the overall athmosphere, it wasn't my first business or tech conference, but I will centainly remember it as the most pleasant.
And for future editions I'll write on my visionboard to attend on the opposite side, as a speaker!
